The primary aim of the IDCA Syllabus is to provide safe, quality training to actors and others in stage combat techniques. Courses are taught in different weapons and can, if required, lead to certification of an individual by the IDCA. Certification is not a requirement when attending any course.

Courses include fulltime day courses, part-time evening courses, weekend workshops and 10-day intensive courses at the National Stage Combat Workshop.
